Dear Patrons:
Thank you for your interest in Oasis RV Resort, the first in a chain of what we think will be the finest RV resorts in America. Here’s why we’re different.
Oasis RV Resort Understands RVers: Beginning in May 2004, my wife Jamie and I, and our two children, Madeleine and Paul, embarked on the adventure of a lifetime. We boarded a ferry in Seattle, along with our Country Coach, and headed way up North to Alaska. Fifteen months and 30,000 miles later we returned home to Albuquerque, after touring most of this great and beautiful country. We learned so much, and we came to appreciate that RVers are a special breed—adventurous, resourceful, fun loving, and above all friendly.
We also learned that most RV parks just don’t pan out as advertised. It’s an experience we’ve all shared. After carefully planning a route and consulting the appropriate catalogue or web page, we select an end of day destination, and call for a reservation. With luck, we get to speak to a human being on the first try. As we approach our destination, our apprehension grows. Was the map correct? Is it really easy on easy off, easy in easy out, or will I have to unhook my tow vehicle to get into our spot? Will I bottom out? The catalog gave the park five stars, but often that doesn't mean too much. And more often than not, we were disappointed.
So Jamie and I decided to do something about it. Over the following months we stayed in more than a hundred parks, and visited with hundreds of our RVing friends along the way. We wanted to learn what makes for a great RV park experience. What’s wrong with too many parks today? How can we fix that?
As it turns out, you had a lot to say. And we listened. Here are a few of the things you told us:
The pad is critically important. You’ve made a large investment in your rig, and you take excellent care of it. You don’t want to bottom out over uneven grades, and scrape against untrimmed trees. You’d like not to have to unhook your tow vehicle and park it two feet from your neighbor, or sideways across your drive. You want full hook ups with plenty of clean, dependable electricity. You want a level site, especially you fifth wheelers who would prefer not to spend an hour trying to get level. And you’d like to keep your feet clean and dry as you enjoy your space. That’s the Oasis RV Resort Experience. - Service is essential. From a quick and easy check-in, to a pain free check out, you want your stay to be hassle free. You expect your WIFI to work first time. When you call the concierge for restaurant advice, you expect quick and courteous help, just as you would at any first class hotel. You’d like to stretch your legs in a pleasant environment, perhaps grab a snack, do a little shopping, break a sweat in the exercise room (coming soon), warm yourself by a blazing hearth (coming soon). That’s the Oasis RV Resort Experience.
- You demand value. You’ve earned what you have, and you expect fair return for what you pay. And you hate to get nickel and dimed—so you wanted electricity with your hook up…that’ll be…Your reasonable rate includes all utilities, WIFI, TV, laundry, and even your spouse, kids, and pets! That’s the Oasis RV Resort Experience.
Our Seeing Is Believing Promise: We pledge to earn your business. If you find the Oasis RV Resort Experience is not as advertised, or does not fully meet your expectations, your first night is free.
Thanks again for your patronage. We hope to see you tomorrow.
Happy RVing,
Thomas, Jamie, and the Kids.
